The cementitious substrate should be made clean and free from dust, dirt & other release agent using wire brush, sand paper, putty blade and clean water. Dry and absorbent surfaces should be pre-wetted with clean water.
Mix 20 kg of putty with 7 - 8 litres of clean water to make a smooth paste. Mix thoroughly until a lump-free uniform consistency is achieved. Always mix the quantity which can be used within 2 hours.
Apply the first coat on moistened wall/ceiling surface evenly with the help of flat trowel/putty blade. Allow the coat to dry for 3-4 hours before applying the second coat and allow it to dry completely. After drying of second coat remove marks if any by gentle rubbing with very fine water proof emery paper of not less than 500 number to get a glossy white surface.
Harsh or rough emery papers are not recommended to be used as it breaks the surface film and increases water absorption
Whytal Wall Putty has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in normal dry conditions.
